                                                Wilderness Inn

The Wilderness Inn started life in the early 1900's as the Sprague Tavern Wildlife Inn. It was owned by Ms. Jenny Moller and serviced the locals, the railroad people, and the loggers as they cleared the land that is now Lake Petenwell in preparation for the new Dam, and with the Sprague Train Depot next door there were plenty of thirsty customers ready to stop and enjoy a cold one.
Later when Mr. Duke Harrison built the bar in its present location he renamed it the Wilderness Inn and he brought the Railroad Depot Signs with him when they abandoned the local Depot and they can now be seen proudly displayed out front.

So come on over to the center of the state and have a bit of lunch and a cold drink in one of the prettiest areas so close to home.
